How your information is handled.

The short version: Priya only collects what she needs to reply to you or send you the writing you asked for. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.

Who is responsible

This site is operated by Priya Sheth (contact@priyasheth.ca), based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Any questions about your information can be sent to that address.

What is collected

Priya only collects information you actively give her:

  • Contact & booking forms: your name, email, phone (optional), and message. Used to reply to your inquiry and coordinate a session.
  • Newsletter subscription: your email address. Used only to send occasional writing and class updates.
  • Testimonials: your name and review, if you submit one. Published only after Priya approves it.

No tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, no behavioural profiling. The site does not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing.

Cookies & local storage

The site uses a small amount of local storage in your browser to remember two things:

  • Your light or dark mode preference.
  • Whether you have dismissed this site’s cookie notice.

If you log in to the admin area (Priya only), a secure session cookie is set by the authentication provider. No third-party analytics or ad cookies are used.

How long it’s kept

Contact and booking messages are kept in Priya’s email inbox as long as needed to respond and follow up. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Testimonials remain on the site until you ask for them to be removed.

Where it’s stored

The website database is hosted by Neon (US region). Outgoing email is delivered via the site’s own mail server. Static assets are served from a Canadian hosting provider. All connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask Priya at any time to:

  • See what information she holds about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your record entirely — unsubscribe from the newsletter, remove a testimonial, or clear a past inquiry.

Send a note to contact@priyasheth.ca and she’ll handle it within a week.

Changes to this policy

If any of the above changes materially, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change. There is no separate mailing list for policy updates — check back here if you want to be sure.
